Product selection and sourcing
Can you supply specific dimensions and shapes?
Tell us the intended use, length, width, thickness and quantity. We will check suitable materials and available supply formats. You can contact us before specifications are finalized.
Can I review samples before ordering?
Yes. Contact us first. We discuss your product requirements, including intended use, quantity and conditions of use, and agree on sample shipping arrangements before sending suitable samples for you to assess the scent, texture and finish.
Can drying be adjusted for the destination climate?
We discuss the destination climate, indoor or outdoor use, and air conditioning to agree on a target moisture content. Drying conditions are then reviewed and adjusted with producers for the species, dimensions and application.
What processing and finish options are available?
Drying, surface finish and machining options are confirmed for each product. Let us know what processing you plan to do locally and how you would like the wood supplied.
Can I order small quantities?
Yes, we handle small orders. Available quantities depend on the species, dimensions and processing required. Share your preferred species, dimensions, quantity, destination and timing, and we will confirm quantity requirements, pricing and lead time.
Can you source species other than hinoki?
Yes. We source Japanese wood including hinoki, sugi and other species. Tell us about your intended use and requirements so we can check availability. You can also contact us before choosing a species.
What information do you need for a quotation?
At minimum, please tell us the intended use and quantity you need. We will confirm any other details needed for the product and delivery conditions.
Can you verify that the wood is from Japan?
Yes. We can issue a certificate of origin. If you need any other documents, please let us know so we can discuss them.

Ordering and delivery
How are payment, lead time and shipping terms agreed?
When you place an order, we sign a sales contract before payment; payment terms, lead time and shipping arrangements are agreed individually in that contract. You can contact us before specifications are final. Please share what you know, such as intended use, budget, quantity and destination. Import and customs responsibilities are also confirmed according to the destination and trade terms.
Can you quote international shipping?
Yes. Please mention in your inquiry that you would like a shipping quote. Once the destination, product and quantity are known, we can calculate the shipping cost. After comparing costs and terms, we can also use a forwarder you designate.
Can you source FSC-certified wood?
Yes, we can source FSC-certified wood. Please tell us which FSC certification category you need and any labeling requirements.
